This video covers the products that i used when my hair was natural from my BC on Oct 9, 2007 to Month 6 April 2008. I made alot of mistakes during this time because I didnt know what to use and sooo i had to experiment and learn from my mistakes. This video is important to watch because I discuss my mistakes that I made during this time. We all makes mistakes the most important thing is to learn from it. I know the feeling I let my sister talk me into using Botanicals, which is a texturizer. My hair has always been really tightly curled and I was having trouble styling it. She had been using it and her hair looked really nice but she never told me it might straighten my hair. I tried it and as soon as I was done I realized my mistake. The front of my hair is still straight and I refuse to cut my hair for the third time so I’m waiting for it to grow out so I can cut it off but I’m still mad!

thanks for the tips. I’ve found BB Oil Moisturizer Hair lotion with castor oil and aloe to work really well keeping my hair mositurized. When i first cut my hair i was only using oil (Wonder 8 Oil- cheap with no mineral oil or petroleum) and my hair was supper dry and greasy at the same time adding the BB Lotion to my oil soften my hair a lottt.

i was advised the same thing; i just recently did my bc on my 4a/4c kinky hair…i was advised to get a texturizer and it came out beautifully; my hair has a wavy/loose curl but i wanted to be 100% natural. now i need to start over. I’m going to let my hair grow for about 3-4 months and cut off my texturizer *sigh.* I’m so glad that someone has already gone through what i am going through and now i can learn from you. Your hair is beautiful!

p.s. i love the garnier curl construst mousse…good style…i mix it with my eco-styler krystal gel. I’ve watched a lot of natural videos and saw how easy it was to become a product junkie. I wanted to avoid this. I’ve managed to maintain my hair by using: karen’s body beautiful hair milk, eco-styler gel, olive oil deep penetrating conditioner, giovanni light weightless leave in conditioner, giovanni shampoo, garnier fructis curl construct mousse, and extra virgin olive oil.

Uh oh, I do have that Soft and Beautiful moisturizer. I don’t really use it but I own a couple of bottles. The person who helped me when I first decided to stop straightening my hair used it. She didn’t use that other stuff though. The moisturizer smells real good which is why I bought a couple of bottles.
