What is the best way to go back to your natural hair color?

August 26th, 2010 5 comments

I currently have brown hair with a lot of blonde high lights. it almost looks blonde. my natural color is a dark blonde almost light brown with natural blonde highlighted tints to it. whenever i dye my hair the other color always comes thru especially when i have highlights in my hair, like i do right now. ive been trying to go back to natural but i am having problems. anyone have any advise?

leave your hair as it is . let it grow naturally. twice in a week take scalp massage with wheatgerm oil. and in the morning wash with mild shampoo.

How can I get my natural hair color back?

August 16th, 2010 6 comments

I just died my hair a bright red. My natural color was really pretty, it was a strawberry-blonde but kinda orange and I miss it! So I was wondering if some how I could get my natural hair color back??

Try and find a die that matches your old hair colour, I have the same hair colour as you (strawberry blonde-orange), and i can never find the exact colour.

Hope this helps~~

How do I get back my natural hair color?

July 22nd, 2010 1 comment

I’m a natural redhead – not Ron Weasley red, but fairly strawberry – but then I moved to California and all that sun turned it blonde. Is there any products out there to get it back to its natural color besides dying it? I’ve never dyed my hair before and I’m not really into it. That would either be a last resort if I REALLY wanted the red (or at least redder) back, but I try to keep it natural.
Thanks!

When ever I dyed my hair red, I used Garnier Nutriesse. I am not sure how well it would work under those conditions however.

My hair is a medium redish brown right now.
Its very brassy from bleaching my hair
and stuff. I want to get my hair back to my
natural color because I am tired of dying it.
My natural hair color is dark blonde-light brown

And do you think natural hair color looks best?

Shave it, clean cut.

How can i get my natural hair color to come back faster if possible?

May 24th, 2010 5 comments

Okay so i use to dye my hair all the time but i haven’t dyed it in 5 months because i want my natural hair color to come back and i know for that to happen your hair has to grow out so it will come back. But my hair grows slow so i was wondering if there is any hair product i can use on my hair to make the natural color come back?

my best advice would be to color you hair as close to possible to the natural color and then grow it out that’s what i did. it took about 3 years and my hair was about 12-15 inches long :)

May 6th, 2010 5 comments

i want to dye my hair over the summer and i dont know at color would

go good with brown hair.

and also how do you think i should dye it:
My whole head
Highlights
The top half my natural color and bottom half different color.

if you have any other ideas please feel free to share =)
i have pale skin and naturally wavy/curly hair. with side bangs.

Personally i think whole head always looks better, highlights are good too, just please not the half and half :S
I think you should get blonde highlights
OR
Go darker with the whole head :D
Depending on your skin colour and style ect

How do you remove color from your hair to get you natural color?

April 22nd, 2010 7 comments

I got dark chunks put in my hair about 3 months agao. I have really blonde hair and now my roots are starting to show. How do I get the the dark chunks completely removed form my hair to show only my natural hair color?

Soak your hair in vinegar, then use a harsh shampoo. After that use natural instincts to dye the remainder to your natural hair color until your hair is naturally your natural hair color. if all else fails go to a salon. they can fix it there.

Can dying your hair change your natural hair color over time?

April 8th, 2010 8 comments

My hair was a dirty blond color before I started dying it. But I have since then dyed my hair black, dark brown, and varying shades of red within the past 5 or 6 years. I have been working on letting my hair go back to it’s natural color, but it seems redder now. I haven’t dyed my hair in probably almost a year, because I don’t really remember the last time I did. Is it possible that dying it so many dark colors, and then red colors has changed it slightly??

Your hair colour naturally changes over time.

I want my natural hair color back, how long does the dye from my hair come out completely to my natural color?

March 25th, 2010 10 comments

I’ve dye my hair since I was fifteen years old and now I’m twenty-two but I’m just tired of changing the color and retouching it when I go to the salon. I been through all of the colors such as blonde, black, red and so on but now I just want my natural hair color back. It has been two months that I stopped coloring my hair and my roots are visible. How long does it take for the color to come out completely?

If you used semi permanent it will slowly fade out over 6-8 weeks if it it permanent I suggest that you trim hair once a month and have someone streak through a middle color between your natural and the tinted color and slowly bring your color back over 6 months time or you take the chance of breakage, from overlap of tint and bleach and if that doesn’t happen the least damage would be for your hair to feel like straw until all the virgin hair has grown out.

Are there natural hair colors more likely to go gray than others?

March 12th, 2010 3 comments

I have always heard that red hair loses its pigment before other colors. This is certainly true in my family. My grandfather had orange red hair, and went white early. My mother had orange/auburn red hair and went white early, not sure when because she colored it. I started to go gray at 18, but I had aurburn/brown hair. I’m sure genetics plays a big role in my circumstance, but I also have a cousin that has red hair and she claims not to have never colored her hair (which her sister seems to believe). Different side of the family, so it got me wondering.

I have heard that red heads gray early, but my sister is dark headed and she turned gray in her twenties.

Perhaps it has more to do with genetics then specific hair coloring.
